It was pretty ok. Not too bad, no amazing - but average. Which is something I'm still quite happy with.
I was on the DrawfestNZ stall on Friday with and and learnt it's basically a tester day. Let people see the stall but defs not a lot of buying. A quiet day where I'd suggest to use to look around on if you plan to be an artist on the stall the other days.
Saturday was when I was a helper and BOY lemme tell ya that was tiring work! Standing around telling people about what is Drawfest and inviting people to the table is exhausting. Which is why I am SUPER grateful to Arkillian to be the lead in managing the stall.
ALL THE ARTISTS were flat out! , & Atarial were very busy with selling posters, prints, lil crafts etc. (I also kept supporting Slugette doing her first on-the-spot commission which came out amazing btw!)
Sunday happened. I was not there as it was my day off but I hope Sunday went well for all the artists there such as , & Leadambeck on Tumblr with the helpers Atarial & Slugette.
Monday was an interesting day as it was busy but also not busy. I, , was with Orionsworld on Facebook and my husband . Arkillian and Knewtknight were helping out. I didn't do many commissions (and one I have to do off site now cause the person had to leave sooner than I expected) and not many of my posters moved either.
However, the commissions I did to made the customers so overjoyed with what they got - and at the end of the day, that's why I'm on the stall. To see how people love the art I make for them.
I still made my average amount for a single day so I'm pretty happy with that. I look forward to finishing the one that has to be posted cause it's going to look AMAZING.
My favourite part however was the Aftergeddon dinner Arkillian arranged on Monday evening. I loved the amount of socializing I did without getting exhausted! (as an introvert it was such a big deal for me) and the food was so good. It was great seeing good friends and making new ones with lots of great conversation. It was definitely my highlight.
So all in all, that was my Auckland Armageddon experience. Even though I was getting quite tired, the support from the fellow artists and people around me was amazing and kept us all going.
Thank you to everyone who supported us at the stall, that was on the stall, and of course once again to Arkilllian for taking on the big task of organizing it. As the Regional Manager of Drawfest in Wellington, I completely understand the undertaking so she did such a splendid job of it.
For now, I have plenty of commissions to catch up on, life to carry on with etc. - but before else, resting. So much resting.
Thanks for reading and I hope most of you had at least a pretty OK Auckland Armageddon. Take care!

Sudden Return!
Hello everyone! I know a lot of stuff has happened since I was last here, especially out there in the world, on the Internet/ Social Media and even on this art website. I needed space to rethink my strategies on what I wanted to do with my life, let alone my art. So, I took a way-longer-than-anticipated break from art websites and concentrated on just posting on my social media so I wasn't as burnt out. I also got a few jobs, finished/left them (lesson learnt, if you draw sexy things don't work for Radical Christians™), and now biding time til the new year. It's given me time to reflect on what it is I really wanted, and how grateful I am to have a husband like langshan_hexachord to create the financial space of me to pursue art. So, here I am. I missed having a focus on getting art done, doing commissions and such. Btw, all backlog and refunds have been cleared now. So I will be opening commissions in the new year for sure! I've also decided to make a very big decision around NSFW
Yo! Been A While!
There is so much to cover really, it's been a long time since I've shared much about what's been going on in my life. Let's just say... a lot. Like, too much. So to give the gist of it, I got married to langshan_hexachord , I moved out, I moved into a way better place, adopted a tiny cat named Tinsel and managing a summer job for a lil while. Yup, that sums it up. Plans of the future is I want to do study to become an art and/or design teacher, so all I have to do is survive the interview process and I'll hopefully get into the university of my choice! Wee! As for art, I finally have the confidence to feel I am okay at art. However, it's definitely on the side at the moment, so I'm less of an "artist" and more like someone who does art. (Is there a difference? Not sure but yeah, that kinda feel). I do take on the odd commission and doing more for myself so you will see that uploaded here. I've been also wanting to study how to keep improving and trying more things in art! It's
Around and Busy!
Hi there! Thought to make another journal since it's been a long time since the last one! I'm currently busy on my next commission but taking it slow because SO MUCH has happened in the last few months. Basically, I'm getting married in the next few months to my beau Langshan_Hexachord (on FA) and getting into study and part time work, so yeah! Lots going on! I hope you all are surviving out there! Just hang tight and better days are sure to come soon! - Ammey/Tammy 🧚🐉🦋*:・゚✧*:・゚✧✨💜
